Ingredients for the opening of a Horror Film

I believe the ingredients of an opening to a horror film, consist of showing the audience that the characters are in fear of someone or something
Also to make the viewer care about a character, most likely a child so the viewer doesn't want the innocent and vulnerable child to p be harmed.
In addition, try not to give too much of the story away, show a snip it of how the person or thing is terrifying this person, but don't show the effect it has or the result of what they have done. Also, I believe big bold opening titles help make the opening a bit more tense as they stand out, also I think red coloured font is good, as it shows danger and on a darker background it stands out and makes the audience worry.
Furthermore, music in the background makes the viewer more tense as they are on edge from the beginning as the music makes them think that something bad is about to happen. Also, your opening minutes must be exciting so the viewer is gripped from the start.
